ITI Main Programs

ITI has succeeded in providing the industry with more than 5,500 graduated as world-class IT professionals in its branded Professional Training Program or as more known as the 9-month diploma .The program is implemented on a full time basis through three modules: a foundation module to provide basic skills to progress; a focus module where a particular specialization is covered; and a project module where the students apply learned concepts acquired. Prior to each intake, a thorough review process to the specialization platforms is performed to update the curriculum with the most recent technology and to include industry requirements. Technologies and concepts like Cloud Computing, NANO technology and Green IT are among the topics that formulate the 20 different ITI specialization tracks. The 9-month Diploma has gained wide national, regional and international recognition as the professional graduates not only support a vibrant ICT sector in Egypt, but also help promote innovation in other countries in the Middle East and Africa.

Partnering with the industry, the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) program offers the 9-month trainees the opportunity to start their practical experience and even get job offers while their study at ITI. ITI KTP program represents the institute’s trend for offering on-demand professional training through its branded 9-month diploma. It is a win-win agreement where ITI can offer its students a practical training and the IT companies are in turn offered tailored professional matching their specific business needs. Over four years now, the KTP program has succeeded in becoming an important indicator for the requirements of the ICT industry of highly qualified professionals. The KTP program has also resulted in promoting the industry and attracting foreign investments as we now have regional partners as well.

Another prominent program is the Education Development for Universities in Egypt (EDU Egypt) program, enabling greater outreach to university students. The program targets undergraduates in Egyptian universities, offering them training in soft skills, languages and technical competences. EDUEgypt can be considered a milestone in national efforts to bridge the employability gap that graduates can face upon entry into the workforce. EDUEgypt program has secured a solid reputation in universities and equally importantly, gained credibility among students, who are now sure that this program will offer them immense professional and personal benefits. To sustain this success, universities are allowing ITI to include its program as part of the academic curricula for new students.


E-Learning in house development project began providing services in 1999. The objectives were primarily to allow participants to overcome space, time, and distance limitations. Virtual ITI (VITI) has built a solid base for distance learning, where enhancement and expansion can easily be accommodated. The project was nominated in 2001 as one of the finalist in Stockholm Challenge Awards (Sweden) for serving the community and enabling technology outreach. VITI extended its benefits for children in the six to nine years age bracket through an interactive E-Learning website VITI4kids in simple Arabic to educate them about computer fundamentals in the easiest and most entertaining way. VITI4KIDS is the only website in Arabic language offering computer fundamentals cartoon lessons for average and hearing impaired kids. VITI4KIDS gained international recognition and awards from Egypt and other countries in nine competitions and challenges.

With the objective of creating a forum for scholars in different fields of information and communication technology, ICICTis yet another contribution from ITI to the Egyptian and international community. The conference allows scholars, academics, IT professionals and industry decision-makers to meet and discuss the latest state-of-the-art technologies. This international gathering hosts training workshops, panel discussions, presentation sessions as well as students’ graduation projects poster show sessions.
